Product Introduction:
The UCM Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter is a high-precisioncontinuous measurement instrument based on the float principle. At arelatively lowcost, this product offers higher accuracy and bettereconomic benefitscompared to other measurement systems such ascapacitive, pressure, mechanical, and ultrasonic types. It is widely usedin industries such aschemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, papermaking, and food, for themeasurement of liquid (interface)levels. It can also be used as a metering instrument.
Product Principle:
The magnetostrictive level (interface) transmitter mainly consists of a non-magnetic probe rod(stainless steeltube),a magnetostrictive wire(magnetic conductor), a float (magnetic ring),and an amplification circuit, signalcircuit, conversion and transformation circuit, etc.
The magnetostrictive wire installed inside the stainless steel tube is connected to the circuitmodule. The circuit
module generates a start pulse through the pulse generator.

This start pulse travels along the wire. When the float (magnetic ring) rises or falls with the liquidlevel, themagnetic field inside it changes synchronously, The magnetic field of the floatoverlaps with the magnetic fieldgenerated by the start pulse, forming a torsional force.

This force causes the magnetostrictive wire to vibrate and produce a return pulse. This returnpulse travels alongthe wire at a fixed speed and is converted into an induced electromotiveforce by the detection coil.

It is then shaped into a narrow pulse,After amplification, the signal processing circuit calculatesthe timedifference between the start pulse and the return pulse. After further signal processingand amplification,it isconverted into a 4-20mA signal output proportional to the measuredlevel. This signal is transmitted to the controlsystem for process control and measurement.
