Product Introduction:

This type of radar level gauge is a frequency-modulated continuous-wave(FMCW)model, operating at a frequency of 80GHz. Compared with pulsedradar level gauges,it has a wider range of applications and offers advantagessuch as high accuracy, strong penetration, small beam angle, small lens an-tenna, and easy installation.

Principle :

The general principle of the frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW)radar level gauge is that the radar emits electromagnetic waves downwardfrom the top of the tank. When the electromagnetic waves encounter the sur-face of the medium, they are reflected. The reflected waves are received bythe radar. The frequency difference 8f between the received signal and the transmitted signal is in a certain proportional relationship with the distanceR to the surface of the medium: R= C(speed) *8f (frequency difference)/2/K (frequency modulation slope). Since the speed of light C and the frequencymodulation slope K are known, as long as the frequency difference 8f is calcu-lated, the distance R from the radar installation position to the surface of thematerial can be obtained. Then,by subtracting the space distance from theradar to the material surface (referred to as the empty height) from the totalheight of the tank, the height of the material level can be obtained.
